Carolyn + Christof
Carolyn + Christof's non-traditional, minimalist style found a perfect fit with the Green Building in Gowanus, Brooklyn. The couple were seeking an outdoor venue for their summer soiree filled with personal touches, vintage pieces and DIY projects. From the greenery to the seating chart, this duo and their multi-talented friends and family curated an unforgettable evening with an industrial, chic vibe sourcing nearly all of their services from local Brooklyn vendors.
One of the bride’s favorites memories was how her best friends arrived in matching gowns without planning it!
“I decided not to have bridesmaids because it's not really my style -- I wanted to keep things laidback and allow people to contribute in whatever they felt called. So you can imagine my surprise when three of my very dearest friends and soul tribe showed up in Emerald green floor-length dresses, without having coordinated at all! Not to mention that they were the same exact color as the couch in the bridal suite. It was such a fun and unexpected moment of synchronicity.”
The entertainment for the evening was provided by the classic Brookyn jazz band, Baby Soda. The bride and groom kicked off the festivities dancing to their first song, All of Me by Billie Holiday which included a choreographed swing dance they learned the week of the wedding.
